Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who has traveled to New York to attend the annual UN General Assembly, held talks on Monday afternoon with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi.    During their meeting, Araghchi and Grossi discussed the latest status of interactions between Iran and the IAEA.   The Iranian foreign minister referred to Iran’s goodwill and responsible approach to the nuclear issue, saying any progress regarding the matter is contingent upon the other sides’ sense of responsibility and the cessation of their excessive demands and abuse of the UN Security Council to pressure Iran.   The IAEA chief for his part praised Iran’s positive engagement with the agency, particularly the Cairo agreement, and stressed the necessity for all relevant parties to make diplomatic efforts to prevent the escalation of tensions.
