The Tabriz Harm Reduction and Rehabilitation Center, one of the most active and successful facilities supporting almost 350 individuals encountering substance use disorders, was struck by missiles multiple times on 2 and 3 March 2026 and destroyed. No lives lost, thanks to the swift response. Yet the cost is immense, including psychological trauma for the patients and disruption of treatment. International Humanitarian Law and the principle of distinction apply everywhere. The so-called supporters of democracy and human rights in the West are not exempt.
