In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful Mr. Chair First, we associate ourselves with the G77 statement. The rapidly growing demands for nuclear energy highlight the increasing importance of nuclear safety, the responsibility for which rests exclusively with each State. Nuclear safety and nuclear security enjoy distinct nature, legal foundations and objectives, and the Agency must take this principle into account in all its activities. Realization of nuclear safety objectives particularly in developing countries depends on international cooperation as well as the availability of the necessary technical knowledge and infrastructure. The Agency must therefore support the non-discriminatory access of all members to necessary material, equipment, and technology. Yet, the application of unilateral sanctions and restrictions prevent such cooperation, and run counter to the objectives of the Agency. They make the people and environment of targeted countries even more vulnerable to nuclear or radiation incidents and accidents. This becomes particularly important in situations where nuclear installations are exposed to heightened risks, including armed conflicts. Accordingly, this Board must call for the removal of all such sanctions and restrictions. Despite severe prolonged restrictions as a result of unilateral sanctions, Iran takes great pride in the strength and resilience of its national nuclear regulatory body. It has been developed and strengthened over decades. The Iran Nuclear Regulatory Authority (INRA) is the national body responsible for nuclear safety. During recent massive unprecedented aggressions against our nuclear facilities, Iran’s nuclear safety infrastructure and regulatory framework, under the oversight of the INRA, together with its emergency preparedness and response capabilities, continued to function effectively. Mr. Chairman, The General Conference, in its resolution 444, expressed concern that attacks against nuclear facilities raise fears about radiological safety. This confirms how irresponsible the joint aggressions of the US-Israeli regime in 2025 and 2026 against peaceful safeguarded nuclear facilities of Iran were. Together, they bombed the UN Charter, the IAEA Statute, and basic rules of nuclear safety. Normalizing such unlawful attacks would be the least of adverse consequences of these aggressions. Today, Iran is the target; tomorrow, it could be another country. Stay alert and be prepared. Welcome to the new world disorder. Finaly Mr. Chairman, on concerns in one statement about Bushehr NPP safety, we ensure that it enjoys all safety standards. To remove any possible concern, and to show the requested transparency, we once again invite all littoral States of the Persian Gulf to visit Bushehr NPP to be briefed on its safety status.
