IAEA GC elected today Iran as a member of its General Committee.

Despite U.S. efforts to obstruct Irans participation in the General Committee IAEA member states made their choice: they voted in favor of Iran. This is a clear reminder that the international community will not allow unilateral pressure to dictate the collective decisions of the IAEA.

A new biased draft resolution against Iran in IAEA BoG

U.S. and E3 once again intend to submit a resolution against Iran to the IAEA Board of Governors and as they claim refer Irans nuclear issue to the UN Security Council in New York. Apparently they themselves no longer believe in snapback and the return of Irans nuclear issue to the Security Councils agenda which they had previously carried out and heavily propagandized. This move is a clear sign of the complete failure of the snapback illusion. Their new desperate action will bring them no benefit either and they wont gain anything out of it.

Pakistan Army chief to visit Tehran

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei speaking to reporters announced that Field Marshal Asim Munir Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan will travel to Tehran. According to the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Field Marshal Asim Munir will visit Tehran on Monday at the head of an official delegation. The Spokesperson stated that the visit aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Iran and Pakistan and to continue Pakistan’s good offices in support of peace and security in the region. During the visit Asim Munir will meet and hold talks with senior officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the New US Economic Sanctions Against Iran

Simultaneously with the anniversary of the infamous coup of 28 Mordad 1332 (19 August 1953) the ruling establishment of the United States claimed to impose extensive economic and commercial sanctions against the Iranian nation. This action is not only another sign of the continuation of 73 years of hostility and enmity by American policymakers toward the Iranian people but also proof of the anti-human law-breaking and arrogant nature of the US ruling establishment.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir held a telephone conversation on Wednesday. During the call the two sides discussed and exchanged views on the latest regional developments.
