CICA secretary general meets with Iranian FM in Tehran
Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybay who has traveled to Iran to attend the Tehran Dialogue Forum met at noon on Tuesday with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

In the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest and highlighted the effective role of the Islamic Republic of Iran within the framework of CICA in promoting regional cooperation mechanisms.
Araghchi referred to the important role of neighboring countries, particularly the Republic of Kazakhstan, in strengthening peace and stability in the region, saying CICA plays a significant role in enhancing regional relations.
He stressed that regional countries, by relying on shared interests, can design and pursue effective frameworks for cooperation.
The CICA chief for his part thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for inviting him to the Tehran Dialogue Forum and said he was pleased to attend the event.
He further provided an overview of CICA’s programs and underscored the need to expand cooperation with member states, particularly with the Islamic Republic of Iran as an active member, in order to achieve common goals in confidence-building and addressing regional challenges
