Iran Underlines Support for Islamic Countries Amid Israeli Aggression

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi underscored Tehran’s firm support for all Muslim nations against the scourge that is terrorizing West Asia.
Writing on X on Monday, the Iranian diplomat said he is in Qatar to convey the Iranian people’s “clear message” on their support for Muslim nations.
The remarks came days after Israel had attacked Hamas’s leadership in the Qatari capital, Doha, amid the bombardment campaign against the Gaza Strip. An official statement from the Palestinian group announced that the Hamas leadership has survived Israel’s assassination bid, but at least six people were killed in the attack. In just three days, Israel has launched air strikes in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria and Qatar, while continuing daily raids in the occupied West Bank.Israeli daily newspaper Ha’aretz warned in an opinion piece that following the recent airstrikes on Qatar, there was a possibility that the regime could open a new front against Turkey. It, however, described the action as one that could carry “catastrophic” consequences, and also cited analysts as saying that any confrontation with Ankara would be far more dangerous than the raids on Doha.In the same context, the Times of Israel reported that Tel Aviv had previously postponed carrying out a similar operation on the Turkish soil due to “NATO considerations”, instead choosing Qatar as the alternative target.Senior Egyptian officials have also stated to Middle East Eye that Egypt has uncovered Israeli plots to target Hamas leaders in Cairo, warning Tel Aviv that any attack will be met with force.
Araqchi stressed that Tehran is resolute to stand with all Muslim countries in the face of the Israeli scourge that is terrorizing the region.“Iran stands with Qatar and indeed all Muslim brothers and sisters, particularly against the scourge that is terrorizing the region,” the minister added.
