FM Araghchi holds talks with EU high representative

Concurrent with the unlawful and unjustified action of the three European States in abusing the dispute resolution mechanism under the JCPOA and Resolution 2231 Kaja Kallas High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Coordinator of the JCPOA Joint Commission held a telephone conversation Thursday evening with Seyed Abbas Araghchi Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Concurrent with the unlawful and unjustified action of the three European States in abusing the dispute resolution mechanism under the JCPOA and Resolution 2231, Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Coordinator of the JCPOA Joint Commission, held a telephone conversation Thursday evening with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In this conversation, Araghchi condemned the unlawful and unjustified measure of the three European States, and underscored that such conduct further intensifies doubts regarding their genuine intentions vis-à-vis Iran and renders the pursuit of the diplomatic path more complicated. The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran shall adopt appropriate measures in response to this provocative and improper action of the three European States.

During the phone call, Kallas, while once again emphasizing the necessity of finding a diplomatic solution, declared her readiness to play a role in facilitating diplomacy and dialogue. She also called for the continuation of contacts and consultations between the parties for this purpose.
