Facts of the US's deceptive action against the Islamic Republic of Iran in the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women

Facts of the US's deceptive action against the Islamic Republic of Iran in the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women

The US was against the membership of the Islamic Republic of Iran since the voting time in the Commission on the Status of Women, and had used all its efforts in this direction, which, of course, considering the trust and votes of the ECOSOC member countries did not succeed. Therefore, the US has taken advantage of the recent developments in Iran to achieve its primary goal.

The approval of the US resolution against Iran to deprive the country from the membership in the Women's Commission is a hostile, completely political, without legal basis and creating a deceptive practice. With this action, the inalienable rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian women's society are violated.

This illegal action to remove a legal member of the Women's Status Commission creates a barrier to promote women's political, economic, social and educational rights.

This biased action of the United States against the Islamic Republic of Iran is a great insult to the countries that voted for Iran's membership in the Women's Commission last year.

Iran has been a member of the Commission on the Status of Women since 2011 and became a member of this body for the third time in last year's elections with the maximum number of votes (43 votes out of 54 members of ECOSOC).

Iranian women's society is an informed, dynamic and capable society and has always strived for its progress and will continue to make every effort in the same direction afterward.

The presentation of the resolution by the United States as a country where numerous examples of human rights violations, especially against women of color, are abundantly visible is ridiculous. How can a country that prevents sending bandages to Iran's butterfly patients support Iranian women and girls?

Depriving Iran from the Commission on the Status of Women is a sign of the US's fear of the presence of the independent countries with superiority of thought and the power of conceptualization in the documents of international institutions.

The US deceptively sympathizes with Iranian women, the White House and the Elysee are a place to gather failed women who abuse the name of Iran and Iranians.

Although the United States banned the Islamic Republic of Iran from being a member of the Commission on the Status of Women in order to prevent Iran from enjoying its legal rights and expressing its views in the field of women, the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a member of the United Nations, uses all the opportunities to express its principled views in international forums.
