Iran condemns desecration of Al-Aqsa mosque

Esmail Baqaei Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the renewed desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Zionists led by one of the criminal ministers of the regime.

Esmail Baqaei, Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strongly condemned the renewed desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Zionists, led by one of the criminal ministers of the regime. He emphasized that this violation—constituting a blatant affront to the sanctity and religious status of the sacred site, as well as a clear breach of United Nations resolutions—serves as yet another indication of the Zionist regime’s malicious intent to perpetuate tension and crisis in the occupied Palestinian territories and the broader region.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed that Al-Aqsa Mosque, as the first qibla of Muslims, holds a revered status among Muslims and the Palestinian people. Baqaei noted that the Zionist sect ruling over occupied Palestine, through its desecration of this holy site, seeks to alter the Islamic and historical identity of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, provoke the sentiments of Muslims worldwide, and escalate tensions in the occupied territories.

He further emphasized that a united Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Palestine, and that the international community has a responsibility to compel the occupying regime to cease its racist and criminal policies against the land and people of Palestine.
